About Us
The ICAI Placement Directorate of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was formed in the year 2026 with the objective of creating a dedicated and focused platform for facilitating career opportunities for Chartered Accountants and strengthening industry-profession engagement.
The Directorate acts as a bridge between industry and the Chartered Accountancy profession by providing structured, transparent, and technology-driven placement and career support services for Newly Qualified Chartered Accountants (NQCAs), Experienced Chartered Accountants, semi-qualified professionals, and organizations across diverse sectors and geographies.
With a vision to empower finance professionals and support organizations in accessing quality talent, the ICAI Placement Directorate undertakes various initiatives including Campus Placement Programmes, ICAI Campus Placement+, Career Ascent Programmes, HR Meets, Overseas Placement Initiatives, CA Career Catalyst Programmes, Orientation Programmes, and Management Development Programmes (MDPs) for CA Rank Holders.
The Directorate also offers continuous recruitment and networking support through its digital platforms, enabling organizations to connect with highly skilled finance professionals throughout the year while helping Chartered Accountants explore opportunities across domains
Mission
To build a dynamic and inclusive professional ecosystem that connects Chartered Accountants with meaningful career opportunities across industries and geographies, while empowering organizations with access to competent, ethical, and future-ready finance professionals through transparent, technology-driven, and value-oriented placement services.
Terms of Reference
- To conduct structured Orientation Programmes, Pre-Placement Talk, Mock Interviews for newly qualified Chartered Accountants to equip them with interview-readiness and employability skills.
- To plan, design and organise Campus Placement Programmes for newly qualified Chartered Accountants through structured, technology-enabled processes.
- To plan, design and organise Lateral Placements, Job Fairs, Career Ascent, Placements for Women Members and hiring drives, including physical, virtual, work from home and hybrid modes, for members across all experience levels, including mid-career and senior professionals.
- To explore, identify and develop new avenues of employment for Members in Industry, in alignment with emerging business models, regulatory developments and global market trends etc.
- To conceptualise, organise, and administer Management Development Programmes (MDPs) for newly qualified CA rank holders.
- To engage with the relevant Ministries for facilitating international placement and deployment of Chartered Accountants in respective organisations.
- To facilitate employment opportunities for Chartered Accountants in Government departments, Ministries, regulatory bodies, public sector undertakings and statutory authorities, through structured placement and engagement mechanisms.
- To establish and strengthen institutional engagement with HR Heads, talent leaders of national and international organisations for recruitment, workforce planning, and sustained employer relationships and conduct HR meets for engagement.
- To establish and strengthen collaboration with industry associations, chambers of commerce, multinational corporations, start-ups, and public sector enterprises, etc., for broad-based recruitment and employer engagement initiatives.
- To establish, operate the Placement Portal and CA Job Portal of the Institute as a comprehensive, secure, and integrated digital platform for placement facilitation.
- To develop, maintain, procure and periodically update a robust, sector-wise, and role-wise databank of organisations employing Chartered Accountants in India and abroad, and to utilise such databank for strategic employer outreach and member engagement.
- To develop a Guide for Interviews and Placement Preparation for Chartered Accountants, covering interview etiquette, industry expectations, employer perspectives, communication strategies
